Pictures, Pictures, and More Pictures

Since I don't have anything to post about, I am posting pictures of the kids. That is always fun! So enjoy!

Elise bounced herself to sleep

This was completely unprompted. He is SO silly!

Look at those big, beautiful blue eyes!

Notice the plastic snake in her hand. This is her FAVORITE toy. She take that thing everywhere.
Getting ready to go to the "Festival in the Park"
This is Dallin's all time favorite thing to do at fairs
Elise was so cute in her dress from Aunt Sarah.

Elise is getting really good at feeding herself.

One weird day

On Sunday Dallin had one of those weird days. We were at church and between him and Elise one of them was trying to annoy the entire congregation. They were so loud. So I took Elise out and Jon took Dallin out. Dallin was having a really hard time because it was nap time so Jon took him outside so that he could calm him down. In the process Dallin wondered off and when Jon finally caught up to him he was petting a wasp! Yeah a wasp! The kid won't touch a worm but he decides it is a good idea to pet a wasp. Jon had to lure him away from it so it didn't sting him. He apparently has a bad lack of judgement. That night I had a YW meeting after church for 2 hours so Jon had to do dinner with the kids. Dallin came up to Jon and said, "This milk is too yuck!" That is his polite way of saying something doesn't taste good. Remembering that he didn't give Dallin any milk, he asked him where he got the milk from. Dallin said his fridge. Let me emphasize HIS fridge. He has a little play kitchen that has a fridge.
So he put his cup of milk in there who knows when and then took it out and decided to drink it. When I got home the first thing I said was, "What is that smell?" It was that strong and he took a drink. It was all separated and disgusting looking. It had to be in there for a least a week! I can't get the kid to try fruits and veggies but he tried to drink that! I don't know about him sometimes...

Rain Rain, Don't go away...

It is one of those rainy wonderful days today. I love it. We have our windows open so the cool air can makes it way through our home and you can hear the rain coming down. It is so peaceful and calm. I probably wouldn't love it so much if I had somewhere that I needed to go, but with no car, I am happy today to be home.
Here is why we have some much beautiful greenery:

Annual Rainfall for Kansas City in 2007: 35.51 inches

Annual Rainfall for Seattle in 2007: 36.2 inches

Annual Rainfall for Vegas in 2007: 2.73 inches

We have had 3 inches of rain in a day which is more than Vegas all year!! It is amazing to me how fast things grow here. We could mow our grass 3 times a week if we wanted to be those people. But we aren't those people, we are actually the people who wait way too long to mow their lawn. I am grateful to be here and have to opportunity to watch our garden grow and be surrounded by mother natures green beauty. Just to make those in Vegas a little more jealous of our weather right now… We haven’t had our air conditioner on since Labor Day. We did have to turn our heater on one night. It is in the 70’s during the day and the 50’s at night.

Happy Birthday Brooklyn!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKLYN!!
Today is my niece Brooklyn's 2nd Birthday! I can't believe how fast time pasts when I am not right there in Vegas watching her grow. It is really hard because I was there for so much of Taylor and Kamdyn's early years and we were in Virgina when Brooklyn was born and I have only gotten to spend one summer there in Vegas since. But I really hope that I can still find ways to be close to my nieces (and now my nephew, Congrats Jason and Adaline) being so far away. I miss those girls like they were my own kids. They are the sweetest not to mention the cutest girls. I love you girls!
